Our limit switches are electromechanical devices that consist of an actuator mechanically connected to a set of contacts. When an object touches the actuator, the device operates the contacts to make or break the electrical connection. Our limit switches are suitable for a variety of applications and environments due to their robustness, simple visual operation, easy installation and reliable operation.
1. Compact/Precision Limit Switches
Our compact, precision and small precision limit switches are built to withstand the harsh environments required by industrial applications. Each model features industry standard mounting dimensions and operating characteristics. Our 802B Series limit switches can be installed in areas where traditional NEMA limit switches cannot be installed due to their size and mounting options.
Bulletin 802B Compact Limit Switches are small and have a durable housing. They are suitable for installation in areas where space is too small to fit traditional NEMA style limit switches. Each model has a durable die-cast housing, industry standard mounting dimensions, and operating characteristics for optimum application project flexibility.
Bulletin 802B Precision Limit Switches use die-cast housings with 1/2 NPT wire entry. These switches are available in five unique head configurations and two mounting styles. Each head can be standard, or with a rubber boot for extra sealing.
Bulletin 802B Miniature Limit Switches are similar to 802B Precision Limit Switches, but have some additional features. They feature NEMA 6 and IP67 enclosure ratings, rubber cable glands that seal control cable entries, and 12-head configurations.
2. Hazardous Location Limit Switches
Our hazardous location switches are designed for use in refineries, breweries, grain elevators and mills where hazardous gases or other materials may be present.
Bulletin 802R Sealed Contact Hazardous Location Limit Switches feature a rugged single contact, hermetically sealed in a glass housing for excellent contact reliability even in contaminated air environments. These switches are certified by Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc. for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D hazardous locations as defined by the National Electrical Code.
Bulletin 802X NEMA Type 4 Waterproof Limit Switches are designed for indoor use and protect internal parts from water seepage, splash, shower or hose spray.
Bulletin 802XR Sealed Contact Hazardous Location Limit Switches operate in air environments and locations defined in the National Electrical Code as Class I, Groups B, C, or D or Class II, Groups E, F, or G. Typical applications for this switch include refineries, breweries, barns and flour mills. For Class I, Division 2 locations, Bulletin 802R limit switches can also be used.
3. Heavy duty limit switch
Our heavy-duty limit switches are ideal for applications that require heavy-duty guide ratings, small size, and a high degree of versatility. We offer various operating heads and joysticks.
Bulletin 801 General Purpose Limit Switches are suitable for a variety of applications. Numerous contact arrangements are available, as well as slow-action and snap-action contact operating mechanisms. Snap-action limit switches have a high-speed switching force after the mechanism has passed the required distance.
Bulletin 802DN DeviceNet® Limit Switches have the same rugged features as the 802T NEMA Limit Switches with DeviceNet built in. This increases information flow, reduces DeviceNet network connection costs, and reduces downtime. These switches are configured using RSNetWorx® for DeviceNet.
Bulletin 802G Gravity Return Limit Switches are drop-in gravity return limit switches with extremely low operating torque.
Bulletin 802M Factory Sealed Limit Switches meet requirements for NEMA 1, 4, 6P and 13 enclosures. These switches are ideal for wet environments and washdown applications. We offer a wide range of operating heads and joysticks.
Bulletin 802MC Corrosion Resistant Limit Switches are pre-wired, factory sealed switches that provide corrosion protection in wet or dry locations. These switches feature a polymer housing and 316 stainless steel for exposed metal parts, providing robust protection against environmental contamination. They meet the requirements for NEMA 1, 4X, 6P and 13 enclosures.
Bulletin 802T Low Energy Limit Switches feature soldered gold-silver alloy contacts that provide a protective barrier against surface oxidation. These switches also incorporate prism-shaped cross contacts that provide high voltages that can penetrate external particles that prevent the contacts from closing.
Bulletin 802T Direct Open Limit Switches are used in ISO 14119 compliant safety applications. These limit switches have the same mounting dimensions as other NEMA style limit switches. Rugged metal construction and plug-in body are designed for harsh industrial environments. A direct open circuit ensures that the normally closed contact opens when the limit switch is actuated.
Bulletin 802T Oil Sealed Limit Switches offer heavy duty pilot ratings, small size, high versatility and rugged NEMA Type 13 oil sealed construction. Available in both plug-in and non-plug-in styles. The contacts and switch body of the plug-in limit switch can be replaced while the base of the wiring jack remains in place. This eliminates the need for rewiring when replacing switches, reducing downtime.
Bulletin 802X Watertight Limit Switches are within the limits of the NEMA Type 4 Watertight Enclosure Test to protect internal parts from splashing water or hose seepage. These switches are not protected against freezing rain or ice.
4. Metal limit switch
Our Bulletin 802K 30mm Metal Limit Switches come in many options with a choice of snap action and slow break/slow make configurations with 2, 3 or 4 contacts, and a choice of actuator contacts. Contacts can be rotated (in 90° increments) prior to installation to facilitate installation. The 802K is ideal for non-security applications.
