Our presence sensing devices detect the distance and presence of objects. We offer a wide variety of inductive devices to meet your application needs.

1. Photoelectric sensor

Background suppression photoelectric sensor

Our Background Suppression Photoelectric Sensors are suitable for applications that require the sensor to detect objects in close proximity to backgrounds with reflective properties. This is useful when the target and background have similar reflectivities (e.g., the reflectivity of light returning to the sensor from the target is approximately equal to the reflectivity of light reflecting off the background), or when a darker target is to be detected against a brighter, more reflective background. This background suppression is particularly effective.

Bulletin 42AF RightSight™ M30 30mm high power general purpose sensor housing provides high performance sensing in a rugged, easy-to-install, flexible housing. These sensors are ideal for applications requiring minimal maintenance. The RightSight™ M30 sensor can be mounted on a flat surface with a 30mm head mount. Mounting is also possible using a threaded 18mm base mount option.

Bulletin 42BA Short Throw Background Suppression Sensors provide high background suppression performance up to 200 mm (8 in) detection range. This detection capability is suitable for applications with shiny backgrounds or where reflectors cannot be easily used.

The Bulletin 42BC Long Range Background Suppression Sensor provides high background suppression performance at a detection range of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet). This inspection function is suitable for applications where standard through-beam or retro-reflective inspection cannot be used due to inconvenient access to both sides of the target, and is also suitable if economical factors are the main factor.

Bulletin 42BT Long Range Background Suppression Sensors are packaged in a sturdy and compact package. The two adjustable detection ranges belong to different models, and their maximum sensing distance is 1 meter or 2 meters respectively. These sensors are ideal for installation on conveyor lines or vibrating bowl feeders.

The optics of the ClearSight™ RightSight™ Transparent Object Detection Sensor have been modified for improved detection of transparent objects such as plastic bottles. They are available in low voltage 24V DC models, or general purpose 24V DC/120V AC or 220V AC models.

Our Bulletin 42JS and 42JT VisiSight™ sensors feature a small rectangular housing with a visible beam for easy alignment and industry standard mounting holes spaced 25.4 mm apart. Each model is available with PNP or NPN and light or dark output.

Optic fibre cable

Fiber optic cables are essentially light pipes that connect to fiber optic sensors. Light from the sensor emerges at the end of the fiber through a transparent fiber in the cable. The emitted or reflected beam is sent back to the receiver through various optical fibers. Our fiber optic cables are ideal for detecting small objects and are installed in hard-to-reach locations for photoelectric sensors.

Plastic optical fibers are generally more cost-effective than glass fiber optic cables and are suitable for applications that require continuous bending of the fiber. Various fiber ends are available.
