Food-grade (MPF) motors not only provide high efficiency, high torque capabilities, but also have specialized features to meet the unique needs of food and beverage applications. Built on the well-established MP-Series segmented stator technology, these compact, low-inertia servomotors enable high-performance motors for a variety of applications, including food packaging, volumetric filling, and form, fill, and seal.

MPL product introduction:

MP-Series™ Low Inertia (MPL) Servo Motors are high output brushless motors that use innovative design features to reduce motor size while delivering much higher torque. These compact brushless servomotors meet the demanding requirements of high-performance motion systems. Servo motors in this series are commonly used with the Allen-Bradley® Kinetix® 2000, Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 7000 and Ultra™ 3000 servo drive series. These motors are available in nine frame sizes.

Characteristic:

• Continuous stall torque 0.26 to 163 Nm (2.3 to 1440 lb-in.)

• Peak torque 0.77 to 278 Nm (6.8 to 2460 lb-in.)

• Built-in 24V braking option

• Absolute multi-turn and single-turn high-resolution incremental encoder and resolver feedback options

• Low profile field reversible motor connectors to minimize servo motor impact on machine design

• DIN connector versions allow flexible connector positioning and use a single cable series for all MP-Series motors

MPM product introduction:

The MP-Series™ Medium Momentum (MPM) Servomotors offer IEC metric mounting dimensions and rotatable DIN connectors with flexible connector orientation for easy cable routing. These motors are optimized for use with Allen-Bradley® Kinetix® 6000, Kinetix 6200, and Kinetix 6500 servo drives. These motors have similar speed and torque performance, feedback elements and rotor inertia, which facilitates a smooth migration from older motors.

With these servo motors, the benefits of Kinetix® integrated motion control can be realized in a wider range of applications using servo motors, even in high pressure, highly corrosive washdown environments. MPS motors expand the range of Allen-Bradley® servo motors to new applications in the field of manufacturing equipment for food, beverage, brewing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and health and beauty products.
