The 1783 Stratix 8300™ Layer 3 Modular Managed Switch Series uses the latest Cisco® Catalyst® switch architecture and feature set and powerful configuration tools to help provide security to enterprise networks using tools familiar to IT professionals integrated. At the same time, these switches allow you to easily set up and diagnose within the Rockwell Automation Integration Architecture™ using tools familiar to production professionals. This Layer 3 switch supports routing between VLANs and subnets.

1783 Stratix Switch Expansion Module

• Includes base switches, each supporting up to two expansion modules (up to one fiber optic module)

• Provides up to 16 additional electrical or optical ports

• Provides eight 10/100 Mbps copper ports or eight 100 Base-FX optical ports with LC connectors

1783 Power over Ethernet Expansion Module

• Provides two modules:

• Four PoE or PoE+ ports

• Four PoE or PoE+ copper ports and four 10/100 copper ports
