ArmorPOINT IO Module

Our Bulletin 1738 ArmorPOINT® I/O Modules offer a variety of input and output modules for applications ranging from high-speed digital to process control. ArmorPOINT I/O supports producer/consumer technology, which allows input information and output state to be shared among multiple Logix controllers.

Characteristic:

• Includes digital, analog and special function I/O

•Using DeviceLogix™ Technology

• Density is 2 to 8 points per module

• Up to 63 modules can be connected, with up to 252 I/O points per network

• Powered from the backplane via a communication module or an expansion power supply

• Input, output and relay output modules

• On configurable modules, each point can be either DC input or DC output

• Isolated and non-isolated module types

• Point-level and field diagnostics on selected modules

• Includes thermocouple and RTD modules

• Up to 4 single-ended inputs or outputs per module

• Onboard channel-level data alarms (4 set points per channel)

• Engineering unit tuning

• Channel-level diagnostics (electronic bits and status indicators)

1738 ArmorPOINT special function I/O module

• Counter module

• Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI) module

• Serial interface module (RS-232, RS-485/RS-422)
