Safety switches are designed and manufactured to global standards with high reliability, stability and quality. Safety switches include limit switches, interlock switches and emergency stop switches.

1. Emergency stop equipment:

Our emergency stop equipment includes enabling switches and pull-wire switches. Our Lifeline™ range includes cable emergency stop switches and cable actuated emergency stop switches.

Handheld Enabling Switches: Bulletin 440J Handheld Switches can be used as part of the measures required to work safely within machine guards. They are lightweight, ergonomically designed and easy to use. Standard models include two independent three-position switches that are actuated by pressing a toggle. Other models have optional jog buttons or dual channel emergency stop buttons.

Wire Pull Switches: Bulletin 440 Series Wire Pull Switches feature a wire rope attached to a locking style wire pull switch. Pulling the wire rope in any direction at any point on the wire rope will trip the switch, cutting power to the machine. Choose from our Lifeline™ Cable Tensioning Systems (LRTS), Lifeline 3 cable (rope) operated emergency stop devices, Lifeline 4 cable/button operated systems, and stainless steel Lifeline 4 cable/button operated systems.

2. Safety interlock switch:

Our safety interlock switch is a safeguard that monitors the position of a guard or door. You can use them to cut power, control access, and prevent machines from starting when guards are open. Contains:

Protection lock switch:

Bulletin 440G Series Guard Lock Switches Our guard lock switches provide protection for hazardous areas that cannot be removed immediately after a stop request. On many machines, removing power to a motor or actuator does not immediately stop dangerous motion. Typical applications are high inertia rotating machines, fast rotating machines, and machines that require high pressure relief from air pressure valves.

The Atlas™ 5 Guard Lock Switch is a positive mode tongue type interlock switch. It latches machine guards until power is isolated, then keeps power isolated while the guard is open. With two safety (normally closed) contacts and two auxiliary (normally open) contacts, the Atlas 5 switch is suitable for PLC controlled machines.

The 440G-LZ protective lock switch is mainly used for protective doors involving partial body contact. The switch uses microprocessor technology with an RFID-encoded actuator. It also features a detent drive mechanism that only locks when the correct actuator is detected. Due to its complete functionality, the switch is Ple, Cat4 (EN/ISO 13849-1) certified by TÜV for the highest security level of guard door position and lock monitoring.

The 440G-MT Solenoid Switch is a positive-mode tongue-type protective interlock switch that latches machine guards until power is isolated, and then maintains power isolation while the guard is open. The guard can only be opened when a signal is applied to the internal solenoid that releases the locking mechanism.

The TLS-GD2 guard locking switch is a positive mode tongue type interlock switch. It latches machine guards until power is isolated, then keeps power isolated while the guard is open. The TLS-GD2 has three safety (normally closed) contacts and two auxiliary (normally open) contacts.

The TLS-Z GD2 Guard Lock Switch is an interlock switch featuring a uniquely coded RFID door sensor using inductive door position sensing technology. This switch detects if the actuator key is broken or detached from its door mounting position. Built using the same solid state technology as the TLS GD2, this switch supports the highest level of security - Performance Level "e" (Ple) in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1.

Hinged switch:

Our 440H Series Hinged Interlock Switches, when activated, will close a specific normally open (accessible) door or guard.

The Ensign 3 Hinged Interlock Switch is a hinge-actuated safety interlock switch that is mounted at the hinge point of the guard. With one rotatable head, the multipurpose Ensign 3 can be mounted in up to 4 ways.

Rotacam™ Heavy Duty Hinge Interlock Switches are hinge actuated safety interlock switches. They connect to existing hinge pins for direct switch operation. When the protective device opens exactly 5 degrees, it isolates the machine power supply. For applications requiring a larger operating angle, the internal cam can be adjusted from 5…11 degrees.

The Sprite Micro Hinge Interlock Switch is a hinge-actuated safety interlock with a compact cover measuring only 75 x 25 x 29 mm (2.95 x 0.98 x 1.14 in), making this switch the smallest interlock currently available. One of the lock switches. Sprite is suitable for small machines such as printing presses, copiers and household appliances, including necessary safety features.

440T Proximity Control Chain: Our Proximity Chain Safety Key Interlock Switches allow access to hazardous areas only when the appropriate key is inserted in the interlock. With these stainless steel accessory interlocks, a reliable, industrial-grade method of door entry is achieved. They are driven by a lever or rod attached to a chain.

440T Interchange Unit: Our Safety Key Interlock Switch Interchange Unit is used to link other devices in the Prosafe® range together in an interlock sequence. These units are suitable for more complex sequences of operations.

440T Microvalve: For applications where space is limited, the Microvalve Safety Key Interlock Switch is the ideal solution. Features include lock on or lock off options.

440T Rotary: The rotary safety key interlock switch is used to electrically isolate the machine for increased access security, and can also be used as a teach pendant in robotic cells. After switching off the power, the key can be removed and used for the next sequence of operations (such as unlocking an inspection door or allowing access to a valve). The rotary switch can be panel mounted or included in a protective cover.

440T Latching: Latching™ Safety Key Interlock Switches combine the functions of a safety key with a reed actuated interlock. When the actuator is inserted into the interlock (lockout), it can be removed by turning the safety key. After removing the key, the actuator cannot be removed. This will lock the protective door. The safety key must be reinserted and rotated 90° to unlock the guard. Latching interlock switches are available in mechanical, electronic and solenoid types.

440T Solenoid Release Unit: Our Safety Key Electromagnetic Release Unit provides electrical isolation of the machine for increased security of entry. The unit consists of a rotary power switch and a solenoid. The safety key can only be removed when an external signal is given to its internal solenoid locking mechanism. When the safety key can be removed (i.e. the solenoid is energized), the indicator light on the electromagnetic release unit will illuminate. An electromagnetic signal is only required when the key needs to be removed.

440T Motion Stop Unit: Our Prosafe® Motion Stop Unit (SMU) is used in applications that require the detection of motion stop of mechanical parts of a machine. The SMU detects motion using inductive proximity sensors and monitors these sensors using the CU2 control unit.

440T Packaged Switch Adapters: Our Safety Key Packaged Switch Adapters are used for pre-interlocked packaged switch applications or other host equipment such as spool valves. After turning the key to remove it, the power is isolated and locked. The key is then available for the next sequence of operations.

440T Time Delay Unit: Our electronic time delay unit safety key interlock switches can be used in applications where access to hazardous areas is required over a period of time. This interlock switch uses a combination of SI Guardmaster® safety relays and EMD Guardmaster safety relays to perform timed sequences. The timer is started by turning the non-removable key. If the EMD times out, its output will energize the internal solenoid, which will allow either or both security keys to be removed.

440T Pin Type: Our pin type safety key interlock switches allow access to hazardous areas only when the appropriate key is inserted in the interlock. With these stainless steel pin interlocks, a reliable, industrial-strength method of door entry is achieved. With these pin interlocks, there is no need to install power wires on the door. These pin interlocks are available in mechanical, electronic and magnetic switch styles.
